Resthaven CFO Retires

by | June 09, 2020

Resthaven Chief Financial Officer Bev Donahue will retire in June. Bev started at Resthaven in June of 1998 and has been the Finance Director since then. During her 22 years of service, Bev has been a fundamental member of the leadership at Resthaven.

She has been a guiding vision and integral part of many program developments at Resthaven, including the creation of Atrio and transitioning resident rooms from semi-private to private at the Care Center. Bev has been involved in the planning and implementation of many new spaces and services through the years, including the Gathering Place at Maple Woods, Maple Woods Cottages, Boersma & Janssen Green House Homes, Rehab Cottage, and the Chapel at the Care Center.

“What was wonderful about each project was all these new spaces focused on enhanced service, meaningful life for residents and private residential feeling homes,” she said.

“I have greatly enjoyed the relationships I have developed through working at Resthaven,” she said. “Relationships such as meeting residents and family members and hearing their life stories; staff members who have a passion for working with seniors; and Board Members who give of their time and talent to guide the mission.  Resthaven has a 75 year history of providing homes and services to seniors and continues to evolve in meeting the needs of seniors.”

Bev’s hope for Resthaven is “that it’s mission will continue to grow and evolve to serve more seniors in the community.  Resthaven will continue to be a trusted resource in the community for another 75+ years.”

We wish the best to Bev in her retirement! Thank you for all your leadership and service at Resthaven.
