One of Resthaven’s pillars of service is people. This means we value the individual identities of residents and we value each employee. Every year Resthaven gives employees a survey. In order to be stewards of employee feedback and make sure our employees are valued, we have added a position called “Employee Engagement Manager.” Ben Lewakowski began in this position in January 2021.
As the Employment Engagement Officer, Ben will build relationships with the staff, develop an engagement strategy, and plan meaningful activities.
“I am most excited about helping people problem-solve to help themselves,” said Ben. “I enjoy listening, coaching, and supporting people when and where they need me.”
“In my short time here, I can already tell that the staff has a commitment to Resthaven and the residents.” Ben comes to us from Spring Lake, where he worked in school administration. “Coming from the education world, I truly believe in servant leadership. I am very excited to employ that mindset at Resthaven.” Ben’s family is the most important part of his life. He said, “My wife and I love to travel and miss it due to COVID-19.”
Resthaven has many employee programs in place to invest in people including tuition reimbursement, scholarships, employee assistance programs, and more. We are excited to continue to meet the needs of our staff who are meeting the needs of our residents.
