DURING MY FIRST 90 DAYS with the Resthaven team, I have made a number of observations that leave me feeling inspired and encouraged about the future of Resthaven:
- Our team members are very dedicated to providing the best care and services possible,
- Our leadership teams are good stewards of the resources available,
- Our culture is one that places resident-centered care as our highest priority,
- Our residents are happy and feel well-served.
As Resthaven moves forward, we move from a position of strength. Our generous donors to the capital campaign have provided funding for new residential centers that focus on best practices in serving older adults and have provided resources for benevolent care. Atrio Home Care, our home care partnership with Clark and Holland Home, continues to grow and support our residents and others in the community. The Warm Friend remains a vibrant community that is well known and sought out. When I visit with the residents there they are quick to tell me how happy they are and how much they appreciate the hospitality of the staff.
The Maple Woods campus is an affordable option for quality assisted living care in the community. The Care Center has a Five Star rating by Medicare based on our clinical outcomes and impact on residents we serve. Our rehabilitation services continue with very positive outcomes in getting our short-term guests back to their homes. Our centers are filled with residents who are happy to be a part of Resthaven.
Despite challenging times in senior healthcare, I am confident in Resthaven’s ability to be resilient and innovative. I am so glad to be part of this great team of professionals and this strong organization.
