As a part of Resthaven’s Volunteer Appreciation Event, Marjorie (Marge) Boeve was presented the Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her years of service as a volunteer.  This award is a joint effort with Resthaven and the President Barack Obama’s Volunteer Service Award Program. It recognizes those who live a life of service and a difference in the community in which they live.

Marge has been a volunteer at Resthaven for over 13 years. She plays the piano at religious and other events, and visits residents who have become her friends.  She has accumulated over 800 volunteer hours in service to Resthaven.  Her connection with Resthaven began when her mother-in-law became a resident of the Care Center and later her mother.  When applauded for sharing her musical talents with residents, Marge simply says “music connects with something deep inside each of us, and I have the privilege of sharing my musical ability to bring joy to others.”
