The Proof is in the Pudding

In an era where the words “nursing home,” “senior home,” or “assisted living” can conjure up rather negative thoughts, things at Resthaven are decidedly different.  Think excellence in customer service, health care, and integrity…new and upgraded environments…staff members dedicated to the concept of servanthood…residents actively directing their own lifestyles.

These statements can be validated by outside evaluations of quality, customer service, and employee satisfaction.  For example, within the past year Resthaven has received the following honors, all based on statistically verifiable data:

  • Zero citations in the recent State of Michigan survey for the Resthaven Care & Rehabilitation Center
  • Michigan Governor’s Award for Excellence
  • Special Tribute from the Michigan Legislators
  • Five-Star Quality Rating (the highest) from Medicare’s Nursing Home Compare list
  • “Highest Honors” for Customer and Employee Satisfaction as compared to hundreds of other entities that serve seniors, as determined by the national survey firm, Holleran

Resthaven has also been repeatedly voted “Best Of West Michigan” by readers of the Holland Sentinel.  Although this award is more of a popularity contest, it still motivates all involved to live up to the title.

In a confusing world, these recognitions are important so
that those in the Holland/Zeeland area can continue to have confidence in the quality of care—and caring—that Resthaven offers.
