Resthaven Care Center Addition Opens

We’ve now completed our new entrance, lobby, café, chapel, sunroom, garden, and Rehabilitation & Wellness Center. By all accounts, residents, family members and other visitors, volunteers, and staff are delighted with the new space and the opportunities for life enriching relationship building.

The new addition, totaling 2,950 square feet, provides nicely appointed space for residents to enjoy a cup of coffee with family and friends in the Café, or connect with visitors in the bright Sunroom overlooking the Hinkamp Garden.

It provides a space for worship, Bible study or activities in the James I. & Jean Cook Chapel, which is adorned with a restored stained glass window from Bethel Reformed Church.

The new Rehabilitation & Wellness Center more than doubles the space dedicated to physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and exudes light and cheer.

The next step is to complete The Rehab Cottage, scheduled to open in late February 2013.
